Recognizing our 2024 ART
Participatory Grantmaking Panel

A highly curated panel of Chicago artists and cultural leaders recommended the slate of three-year ART grantees from more than 110 proposals using a participatory grantmaking process—evaluating organizations on criteria including community engagement, relevance, impact, and alignment with the Field Foundation’s mission to support community power building. Alongside the ART program’s trusted consultant, Dio Aldrige of Chosen Collective Consulting, we convened the panelists three times during the summer of 2024. Final grant award recommendations were determined based on panel consensus. We appreciate the panel’s thoughtful work and commitment to the success of the ART initiative.
