Impact House

The Field Foundation is proud to have conceptualized and co-created Impact House with entrepreneur Israel Idonije. As the nation’s first innovation-focused philanthropy center, Impact House is dedicated to serving and supporting foundations, grant makers, and impact investors committed to social change.

Several years ago, the Field Foundation, Woods Fund and US Artists began to dream together about what would happen if we physically uprooted ourselves to be closer together. Along with our partners, including Forefront, A Better Chicago, Chicago Public Library Foundation, Children First Fund and Pillars Fund, it was our belief that Chicago’s philanthropic organizations can work better together, share ideas and resources, reduce redundancies, and operate with greater efficiency.

It’s important to create space where people can find you, see you, and feel comfortable approaching you.”
— Field Foundation President Daniel O. Ash.
