CHICAGO – The Field Foundation is pleased to announce that Nora Daley has joined its Board of Directors, bringing more than 25 years of experience across public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

“It is a genuine privilege to have Nora serve on our board. She is an exceptional civic leader, whose experience, perspective, and guidance will further strengthen our board discussions.”

– Joe Aguilar, Chair, Field Foundation Board of Directors

Daley has led major civic and cultural initiatives, including a comprehensive transformation of the Illinois Arts Council Agency, where she serves as Chair. She is also Co-Chair of the Chicago Architecture Biennial and has served in leadership roles with organizations such as Steppenwolf Theatre Company, the Terra Foundation for American Art, After School Matters, and Navy Pier, Inc. She has advised a range of civic, cultural, and policy organizations.

“As we continue to advance our community power building mission, we will benefit from Nora’s passion and decades of work as an advocate, builder, collaborator, problem solver, and system innovator. We are delighted to welcome her to our board.”

– Daniel O. Ash, President, Field Foundation

Daley joins the board at a pivotal moment for the foundation as it deepens its commitment to resident-led organizations serving Chicago’s South and West Sides. The foundation recently launched a new Community Investments portfolio and announced a $1 million partnership with the Resident Association of Greater Englewood (R.A.G.E.) to support its mission to restore Englewood by mobilizing residents and creating community-led solutions.

“I have long admired the Field Foundation’s dedication to the promise of Chicago and am honored to join its Board of Directors. The foundation’s commitment to community power building through investments in the arts, journalism, leaders, and resident-led organizations aligns deeply with my own values. I look forward to working with the Board to contribute to this important work.”
